Our beloved Bonnie Kueng passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday January 21st, 2021. Our beloved Dennis Kueng passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2022. It was hard for the 17 months dad was without mom. For all who knew and loved them, the thought of one without the other was impossible. Bonnie was nurse; employed by North Memorial Hospital and Park Nicollet clinics. She cared for hundreds of adults and children in her almost 40 years of nursing. In her retirement, Bonnie served all over the world on medical mission trips to Africa, Rwanda and Haiti. She impacted many, truly living a life of service to others. She shared her compassion for people and cultures, leaving this legacy for her children and grandchildren. She taught us to see beyond ourselves and to seek understanding and love. Dennis Kueng was a teacher who loved to teach. To say he enjoyed people was an understatement. He mostly enjoyed teasing them! He also spent close to 40 years in his chosen, noble profession- all at schools in Minneapolis. He was an avid reader, lover of history and was game to accompany Bonnie on any adventure: road trips, travels to Europe, medical missions to Rwanda/Haiti, you name it he was there. They were their grandchildren’s beloved Nana and Papa and our heroes. They left us quietly and without fanfare, exactly how they lived their lives; impacting and leaving a lasting impression on many people without accolade. They wasted very few minutes of their 84 and 86 years. How grateful we are that they inspired us all to try and live an adventurous, meaningful life.
May the sweet aching of our hearts remind us always of our love for them and how blessed we are to have called them our parents and grandparents.
