ROGER LOREN DAHL

Roger was born on April 11, 1937 to Marcella and Clarence Dahl in St Paul, Minnesota. He had one older brother, James McClean. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1955. He met Carol Behrens in high school and they were married April 1, 1955. They were married for 67 years and had four children.
Roger served in the Air Force National Guard for several years and was honorably discharged in 1962. Roger owned several businesses, most of them associated with automobiles, which he loved. He was a born salesman who could talk to anyone and was always running into people he knew, even when he was traveling in another state.
He had a large collection of sayings that he would use in different situations, such as “Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick” and “Whoopie” and when someone asked him how he was, his answer was always “Good as the best and better than the rest” also “Can’t dance, it’s too wet to plow and the fish ain’t biting.” And don’t forget “Slicker than a handful of snot” and my favorite “Mitchell!!”
Preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Marcella and his brother James. Survived by his wife Carol, his children Virginia (Michael), Mitchell (Jodi), Craig (Lois), and Brian (Debbie); 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
