Obituary of Jewel Johnson

Jewel Johnson (nee Collins) passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022, at the age of 91. She was born on February 3, 1931, in Duluth, Minnesota. While growing up, her family lived in Hermantown and Duluth, and attended the Duluth Gospel Tabernacle. Jewel graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School.

Jewel was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cordelia Collins; her sister, Eleanor; and her brothers, Bill, Marvin, Jacob, and David. She is survived by her husband, Lauren Johnson; her children, Tom (Susan) Johnson, Tim (Linda) Johnson, Cathy Dale, Brian (Cindy) Johnson, and Neal (Mary) Johnson; 16 grandchildren; her brother, Larry and her sister, Elma. In her younger years, she enjoyed creating a beautiful flower garden, walking and reading her Bible.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 18 at River of Life Church at 1002 Carlton Avenue in Cloquet, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at the church at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
