Obituary of Nancy Marie Magaard

Nancy Marie Magaard of Medina, MN, formerly of Bella Vista, AR and Esko, MN passed away peacefully June 27th, 2022 at home with her family at her side.

Nancy was born January 3, 1932 to Paul Leslie Stacy and Marie B. Stacy. Nancy graduated H.S. from Clarion High School, Clarion, IA. She went on to attend Minneapolis Women’s Bible College until she met the love of her life and to-be husband of sixty-nine years. Nancy married H. William (Bill) Magaard, October 27th, 1950, at Church of Christ in Clarion, IA and then raised their eight children primarily in Sauk Rapids, MN and Esko, MN.

Nancy was blessed with a gifted voice and was a member of her church choirs throughout her life. Nancy volunteered with her local PTA, Girl Scouts & Garden Clubs. She enjoyed Skiing, Golfing and Motorcycle cruises with the love of her life. She also enjoyed spending time at their summer cabin in Northern MN and playing games with her children and grandchildren. Nancy always enjoyed a good win whenever she played. Nancy and Bill retired to Belle Vista, AR in 1990 where they enjoyed church activities, playing golf, traveling, and entertaining family and friends at their home.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister, daughter Barbara Jo, son-in-law Dennis Wingness and her beloved husband, Bill. Nancy is survived by daughters Linda M Magaard, Patti A Magaard, Teri L Wingness and sons David H. Magaard, John L. Magaard (Carla), Daniel P. Magaard (Tamara), Michael J. Magaard (Kari), and son-in-law Greg A Hehman. Nancy was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Nancy celebrated her life as a child of Christ.
