I had no idea that I would reconnect with my childhood friend after her mom passed only to have her pass as well. Sharing memories these last weeks was such a gift. Karen and I were grade school friends at St. Pius X grade school in Brookline, PA. Our mothers were friends “Kash’s” that’s what Karen and I decided to call each other. We hadn’t seen or talked since highschool but I spent a lot of time as a houseguest during gradeschool due to problems in my family. Those times stand out as my happiest days as a kid. Karen and her family treated me as family and shared their home life with me. Such
a great example for me to see how happy home can be.
God works in mysterious ways allowing Karen and I to recall the memories of our time together and tell her how important she and her mom especially were in my life. Godspeed Karen…give Kash a hug from me.
