Obituary of Pamela Ann Lutes
Pamela Ann (Wearing) Lutes, 77, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Pam was born on August 18, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI to Howard and Katherine (Schroeckenthaler) Wearing. Pam loved spending summers at Pop’s Pine Resort in Three Lakes, WI, with her brother, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Pam graduated from high school in Milwaukee and went on to complete training and education in the field of Radiologic Technology, where she practiced as an X-ray technician for 10 years. But her friendly nature and entrepreneurial spirit ultimately led her to a successful career in sales and owning a small home remodeling business. In 2000, Pam moved to Cannon Falls, MN, where she met and married her best friend, Charlie, who she married on November 7, 2003.
A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Pam graced every person she encountered with kindness, love, hard work, and thoughtfulness. Pam rarely complained while single-handedly raising and providing for her two sons, guiding them to be kind and compassionate men, husbands, and fathers. She was an adventurous spirit, with an infectious laugh. She loved doing new remodeling projects, entertaining, the Green Bay Packers, and telling Charlie to, “Haul another load!” Most of all, Pam loved her grandchildren, whom she considered her pride and joy.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Charles Lutes; two sons David (Jody) Bahr and Christopher (Theresa) Bahr; grandchildren Jackson, Addison, Mia, Maggie, Jonah, and Grace; brother, Jeff (Janice) Wearing; and many loving cousins and friends and her faithful Teddy Bear Dog, Benny. Pam was preceded in death by her parents and many adored aunts and uncles.
A small family remembrance will be held at a later date. Although she told us, “I liked it here!” we know that she is now at peace, having the best pie ever with her Father, Howard, and cocktails with her Mother, Katherine. She will be missed.
