Obituary of Helen Skillings Rivers

Helen Skillings Rivers passed away peacefully on May 12, 2022 in Duluth, MN at the age of 88. She was born on June 8, 1933 in Duluth to David and Helen Skillings and graduated from Duluth East High School in 1951 and Carleton College in 1955. She was a teacher in the Duluth Public Schools for over thirty years. Helen was a member of Duluth Congregational Church and Pilgrim Congregational Church and the DAR and was an active volunteer in the community. Helen was predeceased by her parents, brother David and son David Mayall. She is survived by her daughters Anne Mayall and Tammy Allen (Ryan) and grandchildren Nathan and Lucy Allen and Tavis (Barbara) Mayall. A memorial service will be held for Helen on Wednesday, June 22 at 11:00 am at Pilgrim Congregational Church 2310 East 4th Street, Duluth. A reception will follow the service.
