Obituary of Phyllis Mary Graves
Phyllis (98) died peacefully at Eagan Point Senior Living on May 27, 2022. She was born on March 2, 1924 to Catherine Brunner Weis and Henry Weis of Bird Island, Minnesota. Phyllis went to St. Mary’s Catholic School in Bird Island, MN.
Phyllis married Edward Graves on March 18, 1944. Together they were blessed with 5 children. They started their family in Minneapolis, MN, and soon moved to St Louis Park, MN they spent 25 years there and then moved to Burnsville, MN. Phyllis was a loving wife and mother and she kept a happy home. After raising her children, she went to work at Children’s World. The children called her the “best cooker”. She made amazing homemade breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. She retired after 25 years of service. She kept herself busy enjoying her retirement with her morning church service, Along with lunches, cards and games with friends at the Real Life Cooperative. She is one of the last original tenants. Phyllis will be missed.
Her survivors include daughter Jill Triemert, Kathleen (Jon) Cole, Timothy (Debora) Graves, Patricia (Henry) Erickson, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Edward, son Edward Steven, father Henry, mother Catherine, son-in-laws Jerry Triemert and Ronald Larson, and all 13 of her brothers and sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church in Savage, Minnesota on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 11:00, visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the mass. Lunch will follow.
