Obituary of Michelle Mary Weber
Michelle Mary Weber (Sirek) was born November 20th, 1950, the third child to Francis Michael Sirek and Mildred Catherine (Loida), and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, MN in 1968.
Michelle married Timothy Roger Brown on November 1st, 1970 in Watertown, SD and had just one child with Tim, her favorite, Stacey (Mackenzie Cramer) before their divorce in 1983. They lived in Forest Lake, MN and spent many weekends on a lake fishing for walleyes.
Michelle married James Anthony Weber on November 1st, 1986 and were married until his untimely death in March 1994. During this time, they lived in South Minneapolis, MN and spent their leisure time remodeling and renovating their home as well as traveling.
Michelle worked for a private CPA firm for 25+ years as an Executive Assistant and eventually moved on to preparing taxes before retiring in Cambridge, MN and working part time at the local grocery store. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her regular customers.
Michelle was fierce in her loyalty, her tenacity, and her determination. She was a protective, loving mother that gave anything she had to help those in need. Even though she only had one child, she often treated many as if they were her own. She would spend her own precious pre-holidays doing the holiday shopping for those that couldn’t get out into the community to do it for themselves. This was decades before Personal Shoppers were a thing, so she was well ahead of the times! She sent the most thoughtful care packages to her deployed daughter with many dozens of cookies, cherished toiletries and long letters to keep the time away from family tolerable.
Michelle was stylish while being thrifty. She could be found on many of her lunch breaks perusing the clearance racks at Dayton’s in downtown St. Paul as well as other stores looking for that bottom dollar deal.
Michelle passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on May 4th, 2022 at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis, MN where she received the most comforting care in her final days.
Michelle is preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her parents Fritz and Millie, and her two dogs Parker and Princess. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Brown (Mackenzie Cramer), her older brothers Ronald (Monica) and David (Roxanna), her younger sister Ricki Anderson (Gary), and her two younger brothers, Claude, and Dale (Linda) as well as a nephew, four nieces, and two grand-nieces that she loved dearly.
She was a remarkable woman to say the least. I love you Mom!
A celebration of life with coffee and snacks will take place on Monday, May 23rd from 1pm to 4pm at The Cremation Society of Minnesota at 7110 France Ave, Edina, MN.
