Obituary of Darryl L Moniea

Our beloved husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa Darryl Moniea, age 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

While in the air force stationed in Germany and France for four years, Darryl met the love of his life Heidi and have been married almost 62 years. After his military service Darryl was employed by Northwest Airlines for over 40 years.

Darryl Lee Moniea was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Geraldine Moniea.

Darryl is survived by his wife Heidi Moniea, Children: son Brian Moniea, daughter Christina Goodmanson (Duane), daughter Julie Skluzacek (Jason), Grandchildren: Alec, Jace, Annalise, Megan, Emily, Matthew, Brice, Great-grandchildren: Clara, Emma, Brooks, Coltin. Plus many more beloved family in Germany.

Darryl will be forever loved and greatly missed by us all.

A celebration of Darryl’s life and ceremony at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
