Obituary of Ena Kulas

Ena Bjorum Kulas was born February 26, 1924 in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Her parents were Elise Jentoft and Carl Bjorum. She passed away March 3rd at 98.

She married Donald Kulas and had two children. They lived on Lake Superior and had a cabin on Bassett Lk (her favorite place).

She enjoyed traveling, visited all 50 states. and went to Norway to see her parent’s birthplace. She loved all things Norwegian. Primarily a homemaker she was also a Rosie-the-Riveter, census taker and bookkeeper for their concrete business. She loved to read, work crossword puzzles and never gave up on the Vikings. She stayed close to family and friends and adored her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers (Henry, John, Arthur and Earl), a sister (Margaret Johnson), her husband and a granddaughter (Jennifer Bracey).

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Hoganson (Marty), son Jim Kulas (Elka), grandchildren Lori Norberg (Rich), Lee Hoganson (DeJenae), Josh Kulas (Sandra) and Jana Kulas (John), Tommy Bracey (Jennifer) and three great grandchildren.

The family thanks Aftenro for five years of excellent care.

A special service will be held next summer.
