Obituary of Judith A. Nelson

At age 77, Judith A Nelson (Zeiher) of New Brighton passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2022.

She is preceded in death by husband Dean Nelson, parents Marie and Victor Zeiher, and sister Mary Dingeldey.  She is survived by son Greg Nelson and family, son Gary Nelson and family, and daughter Gail Larson and family.  She is also survived by three siblings and many much-loved nieces and nephews.

Judy was born in Henderson, Minnesota on a small farm where she worked very hard in the fields and with the livestock.  She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, and retired from a long term position at Bookmen, Inc; a perfect job for her love of reading. She loved traveling every summer to visit family near and far, enjoyed 4th of July fireworks every year, listening to Elvis Presley, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Everyone who knew her can reminisce about her famous Special K bars and amazing home cooked meals. She never missed a chance to decorate and send cards for every holiday, birthday and anniversary.  She made sure you knew you were loved.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those she knew at New Brighton Care Center.  She was very loved and will be sadly missed by all.  A private family ceremony will be held to honor her memory.
