My mom was one of the toughest people I know. She gave birth to 5 kids, worked tough jobs and off shifts. She was my first music teacher. The little radio with the big sound had two knobs, one for on/off and one for tunning. She would crank the sound and proceed to dance and sing. My mom had a fun, rebellious streak to her. She looked for reasons to laugh and would give her opinion come hell or high water. She was also the one that saw to it whoever was in the hospital or nursing home received a visit. I cannot count the number of weekends and weekdays she visited my grandma's and grandpa's in the hospital or the nursing home. My mom was good at fellowship, flowers, reading, conversation. Sometimes she would lament about raising us, "...I didn't do this, I should've done that.." I would tell her like I tell my dad, You gave us life mom, Thank-you. We love you and there is a big emptiness that can never be filled. Good and peaceful journey's mom. Your son, Tim.
