Obituary of Norma Ruth Sorensen

Norma Ruth Sorensen passed away at 92 on April 2^nd, 2022 and joins her parents, Alfred and Gladys; and brothers, Virgil and Tommy. Norma is survived by her daughters, Diane (Joe) Commers and Janet (Sam) Rubenstein; son, Larry (Karen) Sorensen; 5 granddaughters, Jennifer, Erin, Amy, Kelly, and Lindsey; sister, LaVonne; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Norma was a teacher and worked for the Hennepin County Library System for many years where she enjoyed training new staff. She loved traveling on bus tours and meeting new friends along the way. In later years, she visited Europe and China where she enjoyed exploring their rich history. Along the way, she always took time to admire the birds and flowers. At home, she was proud of her family and gardens.

Memorial Service at Cremation Society of Minnesota, Brooklyn Park Chapel (7835 Brooklyn Blvd) on Friday, May 20^th, 2022 at 4 pm. Please bring your memories of Norma in lieu of memorials.
