Obituary of Mary Hamilton Zampogna

Zampogna, Mary Hamilton Age 61, of Lakeville begrudgingly left us on January 21, 2022 after a courageous and hard-fought battle against stage IV cancer. It is with great sadness that we mourn her premature departure from our lives. Loving wife, mother, sister, nanny, aunt and friend, Mary loved life deeply and approached life with a grateful spirit, despite the numerous battles she waged against the long-term effects of diabetes and surviving multiple organ transplants for more than four decades. She wore her scars proudly like a warrior as a constant reminder that she was a survivor. That resilient spirit will continue to live on in those who loved and knew her best. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Mick; sons, Patrick (Lisa) Zampogna and Tony (Gretchen) Zampogna; daughter, Emily (Cameron) Gedemer; grandchildren, Evie, Isabelle, Lia, Liam & Michael; sisters, Judy Wilson, Barb (Terry) Ford and Katy Hamilton; brothers, John Hamilton, Jim (Jane) Hamilton, Paul (Terri) Hamilton and Joe (Monica) Hamilton. Mary also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. The family will be having a private interment and a celebration of life will be held in the future at a time to be determined.
