Obituary of Ronald Domino
Ronald Domino of Mora, Minnesota, died Sunday, March 27th, 2022 at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his parents Vaughn and Ruby; wife Elfriede (Elfi); siblings Geraldine, Dean, Neil, Shirley and Lavonne. He will be deeply missed by his fiancé DiAnna Thingelstad; two children Skip (Rhonda) and Lee (Michelle); three grandchildren Sheena (Nate) Janusch, Carissa (James) Riely, and Joe (Jenn) Domino; six great-grandchildren, Jen and Ashton, Jade, Eva and Laney-Rae, and Jasper; siblings, Darlene Getchell, Marylin Galleymore, Sharon (Arno) Weber, Jerry (Sherry) Domino, Russell (Jeanice) Domino, Joyce Neistler; other family and friends. Ronnie started his adult life in the Army. He was stationed in Germany as an MP which is where he met the love of his life, Elfi. After they married, he joined the Carpenters Union and they settled down and raised their family in St. Francis. Ron and Elfi enjoyed going ballroom dancing, polka dancing and spending their time with friends and family. Ron retired from Bossart Construction. From there, they spend their summers up North in Sherwood Forest and spent winters South in Arizona. In March of 2004, Ronnie laid his love to rest. In recent years, he found love again with DiAnna. He spent the rest of his days at their Lake home in Mora where they loved entertaining their friends and their family. Ronnie and DiAnna were engaged this last Winter and had planned to be married this Spring. He loved a very full life that was so full of love and we are all truly blessed to have been a part of it. A service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Mora on Saturday, April 9th at 11am. All are welcome. 401 Highway 65 S. Mora, MN 55001 A private burial will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling.
