Obituary of Mary Claire Melstrom

Melstrom, Mary Claire (nee Wolvert) Claire Melstrom (nee Wolvert) was born on January 17, 1950, in Little Falls, MN. After graduating from Bemidji State University, she went on to study Public Health, earning her MA from the U of MN. While in Bemidji, Claire met Jim, and they wed in 1975, going on to have three children. After graduation, Claire spent 30+ years in healthcare as an entrepreneur and executive. Upon retiring in 2014, Claire spent her time with friends family, traveling, hiking, swimming, and volunteering. When not at home, Claire could be found at their lake home or spending time at the North Shore with her family. Claire loved her family and was very proud of her children, in-laws, and grandchildren. Claire will be remembered for her love of God and her strong faith in His word. Claire was predeceased by Mother (Lorraine), Father (Merrill), Brother (Larry). Claire is survived by her husband, Jim; three children: Natalie (Damon Johnson), Joel (Sarah), Leah (Joe Drealan), and six grandchildren. The family requests that flowers and notes are sent to Eagle Brook Church or in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Claire's name to MN Teen Challenge or Union Gospel Mission. There will be a celebration of life at Eagle Brook Church in Blaine, Minnesota, at 11:00 AM on April 28, visitation at 10:00 AM. Service in Claire's hometown of Brainerd, to be published later.
