Obituary of Doreen Kay (Norgren ) Anderson

Doreen Kay (Norgren) Anderson, of Edina passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on February 9, 2022 at the age of 68. She was born on June 6th 1953, to parents Reuben and Elaine (Busch) Norgren. She was born the fourth of five siblings and graduated from Minneapolis South High, class of 1971. Doreen lived her best life and brought joy and laughter to all who met her. She had recently retired in the summer of 2019 and had enjoyed her new found leisure time reading and studying the Bible, spending time with family, friends, and with her beloved cat Benny.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents Reuben and Elaine, brother Lennie and her first child Jeremy. She is survived by son, David Anderson and his wife Jennifer; daughter Christine Sheehy and her partner Peter Loeffler; granddaughters Kaelyn Anderson, Marlowe Sheehy and Arya Loeffler; sister and brother in law, Sandy and Myron Koistinen; brother Wayne Norgren; sister Diane Norgren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.


We request that all of Doreen’s loved ones join us in a Memorial of her life, taking place at The Cremation Society of Minnesota ~ First Memorial Funeral Chapel ~ 7110 France Ave South, Edina, MN 55435 on Sunday March 27th. Service 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and luncheon to follow from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

In addition to the share a memory tab on the Cremation Society page, it would mean alot to David and Christine if you would write and share a memory of Doreen, to put in a memory jar we will have at the service. We will also have cards available at the service.
