Obituary of Jeremy Robert Johnson

Jeremy Robert Johnson, age 37, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 25, 2022, in his home in Hastings, MN. His family and friends are shocked and saddened by this great loss in their lives.

Jeremy was one of a kind. He shared his God given talents and gifts with others and developed a true love for the great outdoors. He loved to camp under the stars and always said that he would be happiest if he could just live in the woods and live off the land. Jeremy's love of fishing and hunting was something that he longed to share with his sons. He was happiest when he had a "line in the water" and his family on board. From the outer banks of North Carolina to the lakes of Minnesota, his first passion (outside family and friends) was feeling the tug of a fish on his line or seeing a deer from his stand in southern Minnesota.

Despite some hardship in his life, he never complained or said a bad word about a person. He was not judgmental of others and believed people were giving their best. People might describe him as “domestically challenged”, but all would agree that Jeremy was a skilled and hard worker and could fix anything. He was also a great cook and could grill the best asparagus, steak, and stuffed mushrooms. He ate faster than anyone on the planet and enjoyed every bite.

As everyone knew, Jeremy was a physically strong person who could lift a slab of granite but also give the biggest and best bear hugs. Jeremy loved his wife and three boys with a passion. He said that he was only planning to be married once in his lifetime and knew who his wife was the first time they held hands.

Jeremy was born on a naval base in Yokuska, Japan. He lived on several military bases during his childhood and spent his young adult years in New Bern, North Caroline and St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended schools in Yuma Arizona, Havelock, North Carolina, and graduated from high school in North St. Paul, MN. Prior to joining the Army, he became a father to his first son, Jeremy Matthew Johnson. Eventually, he married Megan, the love of his life, on October 1, 2016 and they had two sons, Roman Lee and Sawyer Glenn. The family was living in Hastings, MN and he was employed at Town and Country Granite in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Additionally, Jeremy had recently started his own business, "We Seal Countertops" which was becoming a growing and successful business in the Twin Cities area.

Jeremy is survived by his wife, Megan and his three sons, Jeremy -19 of Stillwater, Mn, Roman-age 7 , Sawyer (Beanie- age 4), Wendy Ford (mother) from New Bern, North Carolina, Paul, (father) and Mary Jo Johnson from White Bear Lake, MN, Elainia (Chris) White-sister and Clara-niece, from New Bern, NC, siblings, Brittany, Mikayla, and Brandon of Spokane, WA, former step father, Randy Ford, and step siblings, Brandy and DJ Ford and Nicole, Danielle, and Kevin Helland, Barry and Ann Jones (parents in law) , along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Swede and Lucy Johnson of North St. Paul, and Roman and Barbara Snaza of Minneapolis.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jeremy on Saturday, March 12, at 1:00 p.m. at Roseville Covenant Church.
