Obituary of Nicholas Yagoda

Nicholas Wesley Robert Yagoda, 33, of Duluth, died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at St Luke’s Hospital.

Nick was born October 23, 1988 in Duluth to Linda (Johnson) and Scott Yagoda. He attended Harbor City International School. He was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church in Woodland. Nick was always the first one to help. He taught himself piano and guitar and was able to listen to a song and play it by ear. He had a passion for art and drawing. Nick was very athletic and could play any sport. He was often found around Duluth biking, skateboarding, or hiking.

Tragically this beautiful, talented man was found unresponsive on February 12. He was charming, funny, loving and warm but he was tormented by drugs and guilt. May his passing bring forgiveness and clarity to those who loved him. May the angels welcome him to paradise. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Yagoda; his grandparents Sylvester and Betty Yagoda; grandparents Wesley and Alli Johnson and Uncle Jason Zunker.

Nick is survived by his father, Scott Yagoda, brother Alex, sister Vanessa (Cody) Zack and their children, Rosalind, Gus, Eliza and Violet; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be February 27th, 2022 at 3:00pm with the memorial service following at 4:00pm at the Cremation Society of Duluth, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN.

Masks are required, regardless of vaccination status. Burial will be in Oulu Wisconsin in the family plot in the Spring. Arrangements made by the Cremation Society of Duluth, 218-624-5200.
