Obituary of Alice L Kraby

Alice L. Kraby, 90, of Blaine, MN, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2022.

Alice was born on February 3, 1932 to Edward and Olive Wright in Carrollton Township, MN. A kind and caring woman, Alice dedicated her life to her family, friends and community. After her retirement from White Castle, she kept busy sewing, reading, doing puzzles, gardening, playing cards with her family and friends and volunteering. 

She volunteered for many organizations over the years and was a senior companion through Catholic Charities, sewed blankets for the Project Linus, made pillows for cancer patients and created a hat tree at a local cancer ward, but she was best known as Grandma Alice to the children at Bailey Elementary School in Woodbury where she volunteered to assist kindergarten students learn to read.

Loving mother of JoAnna (Gary) Roen, Dianne (Fred) Stroth-Dahm, Luanne (Dave) Holmquist, SuAnna Padden, Robert (Marcy) Kraby and Ole (Tina) Kraby, cherished grandmother to 12, great-grandmother to 11 and great-great-grandmother to one, foster parent to 6, dear sister, aunt and friend to many.

A celebration of life will be held in the late spring/early summer.

In lieu of flowers, Alice asks for you to plant or donate a live plant or tree in her memory.
