Obituary of Shawn Armstrong

Shawn Armstrong, after several years of heart issues, passed away unexpectedly on 30 Dec. He was born in Duluth to Patricia and James Armstrong. After graduating from Hermantown, he became a mechanic, working at several local businesses including the 148th ANG and Chesney’s. If you stopped by you’d likely find him tinkering under a hood somewhere - as he recently said “trucks are kinda my thing”.

Shawn was preceded in death by his parents. He will be greatly missed by his siblings: Sherri, Steve and Tony Armstrong, Sandy “Sam” Runck, his nieces and nephews as well as the great and great-great ones too.

Shawn’s laid back style and affable smile charmed many folks. The family invites you to share in a celebration of his life on what would have been his 60th birthday - Saturday, 29 Jan 22 from 2-6 pm at the Fredenberg Community Center, 5104 Fish Lake Rd, Duluth.
