Ricko, Terry and I made a West Coast road trip via Colorado in his yellow, Corvette 327 powered, balloon tired Jeep September 1971. While amply powered the Jeep had no windows! We first pulled our T shirts off and wore them turban style. While our longish hair was finally manageable the wind inside the cabin was horrendous. Couldn’t talk or hear music above the wind and road noise. We eventually bought clear poly and stretched around the windows then secured by the doors. We bounced and sped our way to Colorado then San Diego. Stayed, slept on Chris B’s floor, attended a Rod Stewart concert and had a good time. After SD we headed north on famous Hwy 101. We slept in sleeping bags on the beach until notified of a hatchet murderer running amuck on the Cali coast. Tough sleepin in that little Jeep…. Dick G

Rick was one of the nicest man anyone could ever meet. He would always ask how you and your family were doing, because he really cared about everyone. We got to know Rick through the family construction business. He did the repairs of the plumbing at our lake place after broken pipes from the weather. When we would go to Fongs, he would always be the first to seek us out and come over to say “Hi”. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. He will be missed by many.
