Henry J. Nolte, 100, of Apple Valley, MN passed away at his residence on January 28, 2022 with family by his side. Predeceased by his wife of 63 years Ingeborg (née Grunwald), sister Margaret Wagner (née Nolte), and parents Conrad and Elisabeth (née Proepper), he is survived by his daughter Monica Nolte-Reed, son-in-law Dale Reed, grandchildren Alexander Reed and Mara Reed, nieces, and grand-nephews/niece who will miss his smile and wit. Born in Bottendorf, Germany, Henry emigrated with his family to the US as a young child, growing up in Astoria, Queens, NY. He was a World War II veteran and worked in the armored car security business for 35 years. Henry married Inge in 1953 in Brooklyn NY and moved to Oakwood Heights, Staten Island, NY in 1959, living in the same home until 2017 when he moved to MN to be with his family after the death of his beloved Inge. He was a longtime treasurer for the Frankenbergers KUV, a German Sick and Death Benefit Society and a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Great Kills Staten Island, NY. Interment of ashes will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in PA.
