Obituary of Beryl L Rodin

Beryl L. Lengyel Rodin (86) received the promise of eternal life on January 22, 2022 at River Hill Scandia Assisted Living in Duluth, MN. Beryl was born on April 1, 1935 to Herbert and Ethel Rosch in Winona, MN. The family relocated to Bemidji MN when Beryl was in grade school. Beryl graduated from Bemidji High School in 1952 and later attended Bemidji State College until her marriage to Steven Lengyel in 1953. Steven and Beryl raised five children in Detroit Lakes, MN until Steven’s death in 1967. Beryl later married Donald L Rodin of Marian, ND in 1980. Beryl retired from US West Communications in Duluth MN after 20+ years in telephone sales and service. After retirement, Beryl enjoyed volunteering for the local food shelf, sharing her love of reading with the library book club, and spending time with her family, close friends, and her companion “Little Kitty”.

Beryl is survived by her children John (Judy) Lengyel, Judith Lengyel, David Lengyel, Jeffrey Lengyel, and Jenny (Brian) Lokken; grandchildren Joy Lengyel, Steven Lengyel, Donald Lokken, and Audrey Lokken; siblings Robert Rosch and Carol Olsen; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Beryl will be joining her husbands Steven and Donald, parents Herbert and Ethel, and sisters Jean Rosch and Katherine Schirck, in heaven.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. service Friday, January 28, luncheon to follow, Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Duluth. Burial will be in Bemidji Greenwood Cemetery.
