Obituary of Joseph P. Dischinger

Joseph P. Dischinger passed away peacefully on January 7, 2022, at the age of 90 in his home with his loving wife, Mary and his children, Paul, Tony, and Joleen by his side. Joseph was born to Margaret and Leo on May 1, 1931. He grew up in the Rogers, MN area. Joseph served in the navy from April 1949 to February 1953. He met and fell in love with Mary Gray and they were married on September 20, 1969. The couple moved into their home in Shoreview, MN and started their family. Joseph enjoyed going on vacation, golfing, building projects, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by Mary his wife of 52 years; son Paul(Cindy), son Tony(Sandy), and daughter Joleen(Bob); grandchildren Samantha, Ethan, Sophia Dischinger; Leia Dischinger; Caleb, John, Matthew, Raymond Merrill; siblings Ed(Vernita) Dischinger, Sally Riepe, Marlene Zachman, Virginia(Al) Zimmerman, Leona Jarnot, Dave(Pat) Dischinger, Diane(Howard) Hagel, Eva(Jim) Maguder, Eugene(Jeanne) Dischinger, Sue(Jim) Belanger, Tom(Linda) Dischinger; brother-in-law Tom(Elaine) Gray, sister-in-law Teresa(Tom) Jacobs, brother-in-law Tim(Beth) Gray; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law Joe Zachman and Bill Riepe; nephews Kevin Zachman and William Riepe.

He is followed in death by his sister-in-law Margaret Mehok.
