Obituary of James Henry LaMott

James (Jim) Henry LaMott, age 70, of Brooklyn Park, MN passed away, January 13,2022, at North Memorial Hospital surrounded by his wife and children, from COVID.

Jim was born June 18, 1951 to Clarence Alfred and Mabel Marie LaMott in Minneapolis, MN. He Proudly served his Country, in the United States Marine Corps. He married the love of his life, Sharon, in 1972. Jim loved to bowl and play golf, winning multiple bowling championships in his younger years. You could often find Jim sitting in his chair watching one of his favorite MN teams; Vikings, Twins or Wild.  The game could be live or a replay it didn’t matter he loved to cheer on his teams.

Jim loved his family whole heartedly. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Clarence; mother, Mabel; step-father, Stan; infant son, Jesse; and sister Carol. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; children, Gary (Amy) LaMott, Timothy (Jen) LaMott, Kimberly (Cal) Watson, Jennifer (Shawn) Murphy, Patrick (Tylnn) Klune; grandchildren, Sydney (Riley) Schimmelman, Emily LaMott, Cristina and Antonia Mujica, Sawyer, Kadance, Keenan and Baby Murphy. Along with many other Family and Friends.

Services will be held March 18, 2022 at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Brooklyn Park at 10:30 AM, with visitation starting at 9:30 AM. Burial services will be at Fort Snelling at 2:00 PM on March 18th, 2022.

In liue of flowers money is being collected to offset Medical expenses accrued while fighting COVID in the hospital.
