Hello my name is mike graves i used to work at walser buick in 1981 - 1983 with gordon gubrud he drove a yellow mazda rx7 he had put together that had been in a wreck. We both worked for the body shop then gordy a body man and i a parts man. We shared alot of stories food and laughter from our jobs and family. Well every year gordon would bring his "million dollar pickles" which were a sweet sliced butter chip like recipe. The best pickle ever. Gordie brought me the recipe on 3x5 recipe index card and it was signed submitted by RUTH GUBRUD.
WE USE THIS RECIPE EVER YEAR SINCE 1982. sometimes we add hot peppers to it. Thank you Ruth. Our off spring say to us often that we really do make the best pickles and they always want jar for their pantries. Id sure like to some more of her recipes for canning etc. In this day and age the younger people let alot of family history slip through the cracks and its gone forever.
