Daniel “Pete” Alfred Peterson

Age 65 of Hillman, MN, died on December 11, 2021 at the University of Minnesota Eastbank in Minneapolis.

A celebration of life will be held on June 4th, 2022, at the Peterson Residence.

Daniel Alfred Peterson was born on June 6th, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN to Ernest and Theron (Grise) Peterson. He grew up in Brooklyn Center, MN from the age of 2 with his two siblings. Pete married Janice (VandenBurg) Peterson May 28th, 1988. They then moved from Brooklyn Center, MN to Hillman, MN. Where they shared their life with two daughters, Ashley Peterson (Hillman, MN) and Nicole Peterson (Fargo, ND). Pete was a very knowledgeable man, he worked at Digi International until he retired. He was also a township supervisor for Page Township. He enjoyed trips to Alaska, building his trike, creating things with his Shoptask, helping friends and family with projects, making maple syrup, gathering firewood, deer hunting, and cross country skiing.

He is survived by his wife, Janice, daughters, Ashley and Nicole, brother, David (Karen) Peterson, nephew, Andrew Peterson, nieces, Heather (Scott) Holbrook, Kristi (Dustin) Heiling, sister, Charlotte Sikes, nephews, Allen Weber Jr., Karl Weber, Tom(April) Weber, mother, Theron (Grise) Peterson, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Peterson, mother and father in law Arlow and Allene (Millenaar) VandenBurg.
