Obituary of Hartley Elwood Gunderson

Hartley passed away April 11, 2021 due to pneumonia. He was born in the Zenith city on November 25, 1941 and was a life long resident.

Hartley was a  graduate of Denfeld High School and also graduated from UMD. His life career was an Abstractor of Title. Hartley’s love of detail fueled him to be a resource of knowledge in his various interests which included the love of all things Ford related, hot rods and collectables of Dick Tracy, Disney, Laurel and Hardy, music and old radio shows. As an avid reader and knowledge seeker he was a guide to many friends and classmates.   Hartley was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Regents car club and a long standing member of the National Hot Rod Association. Hartley was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Edna Gunderson and brother Curtis.  

He was survived by Mrs. Curtis Gunderson (Julie), Nephew Andrew (Jennifer) Gunderson and their daughters, great nieces Sophie and Audrey and Niece Laura Gunderson. A small celebration of life was held April 15, 2021.
