Obituary of Evelyn May Fearnall

Evelyn May Fearnall, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by most of her family on Thursday, October 14th, 2021. Evelyn was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Grace Alma & Richard Copeland. She was united in marriage in May 1951 to Thomas Edward Fearnall. Evelyn & Tom were married 67 years when he passed in January 2018. Evelyn & Tom lived in Winnipeg, where their eldest son Richard was born, then in Vancouver, where their daughters, Judy & Brenda were born. They moved to Duluth, MN in 1968 where they remained the rest of their lives. Evelyn was a stay at home, mom a majority of her married life. Evelyn enjoyed Curling with the Duluth Curling Club earlier in her life. Evelyn & Tom enjoyed lots of travel throughout their lives, many of the trips shared with Judy & Brenda & the grand kids. Evelyn & Tom spent countless time with grand kids, caring for them often, hosting sleepovers, and even taking them on trips.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, her parents, Grace & Richard Copeland and her sister Velma Wall of Vancouver, Canada. She is survived by her son, Richard (Sherri) Fearnall, Daughter, Judy (Tim) McLeod, Daughter Brenda Gilbert Anderson (Damon), Grandchildren Erin (Nate), Coryl, Connor (Amanda), Danielle (Ben), Ashley (Brandon), Sarah (Jed), Great Grandchildren Isaac, Chloe, Caleb, Aria, Dominic, Jason, Milo, Beau, Emersyn, McKenzie & Haley and many other friends & family in Canada & the United States. Family will be doing a private gathering in her honor. Evelyn was known for her love & involvement in grandchildren’s lives, and for her spunky attitude. Much love & gratitude to some of her long time caregivers, Brenda, Celly, Anna, Tanasia, Lori, Catey, Taite. She raised us all to speak up and stay committed to family. Much love to you mom. See you again someday. Give dad a hug for us all.
