Obituary of Mary Jo Olson-Reed

Mary Jo Olson-Reed, 72, of Duluth, passed away Friday, November 12th, after a long, hard fought battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Mary enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and spending her time ensuring her two sons and three grandchildren had an amazing life. She was an active mother for her sons’ scout troop, she was hands-on with the boys sports and attended every game they  had. She spent time reforesting her property,  growing vegetables in the garden, and raising flocks of chickens. She truly loved being a Grandmother and her grandchildren were her number one priority till the very end. Throughout her life she touched many lives  with love and kindness.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Josephine Olson, her brother Duane Braham and her fiance Raymond.

She is survived by her two loving sons,  Brandon Reed and Tyson  Reed; her grandchildren, Emma, Rosie, and Presley (Brandon) who  brought so much joy into her life; her younger brother, Al Olson of Saint Paul, Minnesota; dozens  of cousins (many of which she called sisters), nieces and nephews, many great friends and her baby Rascal (dog).

Memorial will be Friday the 19th at St. John’s Catholic Church, 4230 St. John’s Ave, Duluth, MN 55803 10:00 A.M. with Service at 11:00. Celebration of life to follow at the O.P. 3930 E Calvary Rd, Duluth, 12:30 P.M.
