Obituary of Debra Jean Schell

Debra “Deb” Schell, age 63 of Lakeland, MN passed away on October 23, 2021 after an 18-month battle with terminal Cancer. She was the life partner of Steve Kopesky, mother of Rosey (Mike) Dickey, sister of Sue (Tim) Kane and Judy (Rob) Schaefer, “Grandma Hey” to Lucas, Isabel and Ava, “GrandDeb” to Addi, Evelyn, Laura, Anna, Tommy and Erika. Also bonus mom to Steve (Jess) Kopesky Jr, Sara Kopesky, Jennifer (Bob) Broten, Kevin (Lisa) Kopesky.

Deb was a proud employee of the telephone company for over 25 years. She loved making cards, golfing, searching for morels, playing mahjongg, volunteering, and recycling. Deb was a championship cribbage player who wouldn’t take anyone’s lip. She will be missed by all.

Please join us for a celebration of life on at 6:30 PM on Tuesday November 9, 2021 at the Cremation Society of MN (1979 Old Hudson Rd, Saint Paul, MN 55119) with a visitation starting at 4:00 PM.
