Obituary of Christopher Rutherford

Christopher ‘Trucker’ Rutherford of Lakeville passed away in the comfort of his home after a courageous battle with colon cancer on October 22, 2021, at the age of 47. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Mayura; sons, Nicholas, Gavin, Neel, and Nathan; mother, Barb Teed; father Greg Rutherford; mother-in-law, Shobha Menon; siblings, Jeff, Michael, Lindsay, Ryan, Stephanie, and Kelley; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Chris was deeply loved by his family and friends for his subtle humor, warmth, and authenticity. He loved spending time with his family; building legos with his kids. creating rain gardens, planting trees in his yard, and making his wife and everyone around him laugh. Chris truly was the glue for his large extended family.

The service will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at The Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South Edina, MN 55435. Visitation at 2:00pm and service at 3:00pm, reception to follow. The family kindly requests all guests wear face masks and observe COVID-19 safety protocols. There will be a virtual stream of the services available for those who are unable to attend in-person.
