Obituary of Donald Ray Fadden
Donald Ray Fadden 65, of Minneapolis, MN was brought in to fix the sounds of heaven on September 26th, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 7th, 1956 to Donald and Mary Fadden. Dohn, the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend of so many was survived by his wife, Christine; sons, Damien, James, Daniel, Braydin, and Joseph; daughters-in-law Amanda and Dana, and grandchildren, Felicity, Maddie, Ari, Nora, Harrison. Dohn graduated from De La Salle High School and Brown Technical Institute and eventually found himself a home in the Minnesota music industry; with a precise ear and love of musical perfection, Dohn helped engineer the early live sound for many, including: The Daisy Dillman Band, North, The Metro All-Stars, Beatles Forever, and Great Nation. Dohn was also an integral part in helping start the Basilica Block Party in 1995 and Winstock in 1994. A true renaissance man, Dohn had a life that is unmeasured because he never boasted about what he had done or who he had worked with, but his sons admired his many talents and still talk about the days being back-stage taking pictures of the acts, running on-stage during a live performance to play the drums with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, never missing their football or hockey games, teaching them how to fix anything and everything and the love he had for his wife. Christine was Dohn's light that could never be extinguished, and their 40 years together were filled with a love that is only written about. Dohn was truly a great man whose impact will forever be felt by his family and friends that loved him dearly. He was a selfless man whose passing has left a hole that only he could fill. His ability to love, sacrifice, provide, and support will forever be lessons to all he knew. Dohn's only regret would be that he left us earlier than he had planned, and he couldn't spend more time with his Wonderful Wife and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on October 8th, 2021, in the Holy Family Catholic Church at 9:30am.
