Obituary of Grace Marie Armstrong
Grace Marie Armstrong passed away peacefully on September 25th, 2021 at Twin Ports Health Services at the age of 89.
Grace was born to Anthony Peter Schmidt and Anna Victoria Sauer on December 14th, 1931 in Wales, ND. Grace was a proud wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lady of love with the most pure heart and a social butterfly wherever she was. She worked for the Superior School District, many remember her as the lunch lady. She also was a hostess at her best friend's restaurant, Cronstrom’s Supper Club. After retiring, her days were spent playing bingo, spending time with her family or making a delicious treat in the kitchen. She spent her Sundays attending church at St. Francis Xavier in Superior, Wi.
She is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Anna Schmidt; son, Ricky Pede; Brothers Lee Schmidt and Parnell Schmidt; Sisters Eunice Rickman, Betty Carpenter, Dolores Gage and former spouse Marvin Pede.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth “Ken” Armstrong of 34 years. Her children Janet(Ronald) Geitner, Steven(Glenda) Pede, Rhonda (Kenneth) Mack, and Lori (David) Schweikert; Her grandchildren Jennifer(Brian) Geitner, Andrea(Bill) Wade, Ann(Branden) Nollet, Neil(Mary)Pede, Daniel Mack, Ashley(Ryan) Dolsen and her great-grandchildren Kendric VanderVeen, Mason Nollet, Evan Nollet, Gracie Wade, Bryce Lancour, Cora Lancour and Daniel Pede; Brother Gene(Rita) Schmidt, and sister Marilyn(Mike) Zimmerman.
A celebration of Grace’s life will take place at a later date due to COVID restrictions. The Cremation Society of Minnesota is assisting the family with arrangements.
