Obituary of Rollin Edward Huebsch

                                                                             Rollin "Rollie" Edward Huebsch

Rollin Edward Huebsch, beloved son of Leo and Dorothy Huebsch Noonan,  passed away at 81 years of age on Sept 17, 2021 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota.  He was surrounded by his loved ones. Rollie was born on July 4, 1940 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He grew up in Wonewoc, WI where he participated in several sports including football, basketball and baseball. He was also an active member of St Jerome Catholic Church.  Upon graduation in 1958, Rollie enlisted in the United States Navy. After his Naval career, Rollie attended the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse where he graduated with a major in Political Science. Rollie met his bride, Connie (Fleming) Huebsch at the University and they were married in November of 1966. Rollie and Connie raised their family in West Salem, WI where Rollie was owner/operator of  Beebe Equipment as an Implement Dealer and later started his own financial services business - McAllister & Huebsch Financial Services - as a Financial Planner with his partner and dear friend, Tim McAllister. Rollie retired in 2000.  He is survived by his wife, Connie (Fleming) Huebsch; son, Tyrone (Leslie Sharp) Huebsch of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Tiffany (David) Olson of Bloomington, Minnesota; grandchildren, Lily and Oliver Olson; sister Shirley (Channing) Brown;  uncle Adam (Louise) Huebsch; uncle Jim (Joyce) Huebsch; sisters-in-law Shirley Noonan and Linda (Lloyd) Payne; brother-in-law Jim Roiniotis; many cousins, nieces and nephews; the Murquindunic Clan and numerous friends and colleagues. Rollie was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Huebsch) Noonan; his father Leo Noonan; his brother Andy (Shirley) Noonan; his sister Marion (Jim) Roiniotis and his Father/Mother-in-Law Gerald and Lois Fleming.

Rollie’s friends remember him as kind-hearted and caring: a true people person who was interested in their stories and genuinely cared about their interests, involvements and lives. His magnetic personality lit up a room when he walked into it and his quick wit and sense of humor made people want to be around him.  He was proud of his Navy veteran status and his Fourth of July birthday and could, therefore, be counted on to have an American flag flying. Enjoying ice cream and spending time with his family were two of his loves. His interests & hobbies included the daily newspaper, World War II, the financial market, his Irish heritage, the Navy, the Packers/Badgers/Brewers/West Salem athletics, hunting and fishing, ATVing, downhill skiing, camping, International Harvester farm equipment and euchre to name a few.  He was also committed to being a blood donor and helped make it easy for others to donate by calling and offering rides to donation centers.  Rollie served as president of the Rotary Club; an active member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus as well as a member of the Lions’ Club. He was also an active member of the St Leo’s Parish in West Salem until Dementia/Alzheimer’s made this impossible.

The family will hold a visitation on October 4th from 4-7pm and a funeral service at 11am on October 5th. Both will be held at St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish (formerly St Leo’s) in West Salem, Wisconsin followed by military honors at the Neshonoc Cemetery.
