Obituary of Martha Ann Sorenson

Martha Ann Sorenson, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and wife, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2021 at Lyngblomsten Care Center in Roseville, MN.  She was 78 years old. 

Martha Sorenson spent her early childhood years on a family farm in Michigan, North Dakota as the youngest of 7 children. She moved to Fargo with her family for her middle and high school years.  At age 25, she moved to Billings, Montana with her sister Ruth where she met her husband, Charlie Sorenson.  They were married and she helped raise Charlie’s children Chris and Teresa.  In Montana, in addition to being a devoted wife and stepmom she worked for many years in childcare.  Martha was very kind and tender hearted and at the same time true to herself with a spunky wit that kept us on our toes.  She was a gift to all who knew her.  Her passions were dressing up with fun jewelry and visiting family.  She enjoyed her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her brother, Art Helling and sister-in-law Phyllis Helling.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Manley Helling, Ruth Larsen, Clara Peipkorn, Milo Helling, and Kenny Helling.
