Obituary of Peter Allen Peterson
Peterson, Peter (Pete) Allen, age 87, of St. Louis Park and Minneapolis, MN passed away September 15th. Retired language arts teacher and theatre director at SLP high school. Preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents Peter and Nettie (Sather) Peterson of Brainerd and siblings, Gertie, Edna, Jim, Donald, Barb and Butch. Survived by sons Jon (Gretchen), Paul (Tawnja), Tim, and daughter Rebecca (Jay Morsching). Pete was very fond of his grandchildren: Cherise, Brian, Cole, Mary Laurel, Cody, BJ and Jessica. Pete requested no service, but gave one final homework “assignment” for family, friends, and former students: Take a long walk, go for a bike ride, play a little tennis, read a good book, watch a great play, see a significant film. And, for Pete’s Sake, be kind, live long and prosper, and take care of the world’s kids, for as H.D. Thoreau said, “Every child begins the world again.”
