Chelean “Shellie” Swenson

Chelean Ellen Swenson (63) of Minneapolis passed away in Brooklyn Park on September 12th, 2021. Shellie was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 25th, 1957, to Jean Ellen Swenson and Albert Carl Swenson. She attended and graduated from Minneapolis South Senior High School.

Shellie worked as a claims representative at HealthPartners for 25 yrs. Shellie was also a proud member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, painting and bowling. Family was very important to her and many of friends became extended family.

Shellie is survived by Siblings: Carmen, Jeannie, and Mick (Cheryl) Children: Adam (Jessica), Amai, and Sami. Grandchildren: AJ (Adam James) and Kaden Lee. Also, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Shellie was preceded in death by Parents: Jean & Wayne Higgins and Albert Swenson and brother In-law: Lloyd (Butch) Ferrell. Memorial services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 2742 15th Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55407 on September 18th, 2021 at 10AM. (Masks required for service)
