Obituary of Joan T Coy
Joan T. Coy, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon on August 8, at her assisted living home in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Joan was born January 20, 1946 in Adrian, Minnesota to her parents Clarence and Alvina (Voss) Honermann. She joined 4 siblings at the farm home, and then welcomed two more. She graduated from St. Adrian High School and attended the University of Minnesota for a few quarters. The glamour and adventure of the skies were calling, and she chose a career as a flight attendant with Northwest Airlines. She honorably flew domestic and International flights for 42 years; Amsterdam, Japan, and London were favorite destinations.
Joan married David Coy in 1976, and together they raised a son, Jeremy, in their Bloomington Minnesota home. Joan enjoyed drawing, painting, flower gardening, and was very skilled with working crosswords puzzles. She loved all animals, especially cats, and the wild birds on the feeder outside of her window.
Joan is survived by her son Jeremy (Erica) and two granddaughters Scarlett and Harper; brother Clyde (Marlene) Honermann of Savage, sisters, Jane (Jim) Sanders of Seattle, and Beth (Ed) Ampe of Robbinsdale, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband David Coy, parents, brothers David, Bill, and Steve all preceded her in death.
