Obituary of Candace Lynn Johnson

In Loving Memory of Candace Lynn Johnson (Dawe), age 73, of St. Louis Park, MN who passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly. Candy went home to with the Lord and be reunited with her husband Rodney on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

Candace (Candy) was born 5-15-48 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin – She married her loving husband Rod on May 6, 1967. Candy had a lifelong business of in home family daycare for 45 years. This allowed her to stay at home to raise their 2 daughters along with a couple of generations of daycare kids. (numbers probably in the hundreds), many she still had contact with after all those years. She was the neighborhood mom that all the kids loved to hang out with. Candy had a great love for all animals; horses and dogs most all. She loved baking cookies, entertaining & country music. Cocktails on the deck and warm campfires in the fall. However the roll that she loved the most was being an amazing Grandmother and great Grandmother. She was a blessing to all.

Candy was a loving Friend, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, & Great Grandmother. Predeceased by her parents Charles Samuel Dawe & Bonita Artaniece Dawe (Roen) & Her husband Rodney Waldemar Johnson Jr of 53 years. Survived by Daughters Wendy Johnson (Tim Johnson), Melissa Gootee (Philip Gootee), Grandchildren Kyle Johnson (Samantha Johnson), Douglas Dixon, Kaitlyn Johnson, & Amber Dixon. Great Grand Children Elijah & Hudson. Her sister Sandy Kay Coen (Ken Coen) Her Stepsister Sandy Freeman (Joe Freeman). And countless other Relatives, Nieces & Nephews.

Interment : Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minnesota
