Obituary of Michael Paul Majorowicz
Michael Majorowicz, age 56, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, unexpectedly died on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. He lived near Rolfe, Iowa, most of his life. His cremation has been entrusted to the Cremation Society of Minnesota. A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date in his hometown of Rolfe, Iowa.
Michael was born on June 26, 1965 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Raymond Majorowicz and Artha (Peterson) Majorowicz. He grew up on the family farm near Rolfe, Iowa, and graduated from the Rolfe Community School in 1983. Mike then earned a degree in Computer Information from the National College in Rapid City, South Dakota.
While living in Rapid City, Mike met Mona Taylor. They married in August 1990. Mike and Mona came home to Rolfe in 1995, and Mike farmed with his father.
In downtown Rolfe, Mike and Mona together opened Wild Faces Gallery. They sold Mona’s art and provided fine framing and printing services. During this time Mike earned a degree in Body Healing Arts from Windemere Institute of Healing Arts, after which he offered massage therapy in Rolfe. After Mona’s death in 2018, Mike moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota, to be near family.
Michael is survived by his sisters Therese Whitesong and Cheryl (Thomas) Browne, nieces Stephanie Kane and Rachel (Jerry) Williams, and nephews Nathan Job and Brandon Job. He is preceded in his death by his father Raymond Majorowicz, his mother Artha Majorowicz, and his beloved Mona Majorowicz.
Though Michael’s early departure was unexpected, we cherish our memories of his quiet demeanor, creative mind, and gentle spirit.
