Obituary of Beverly Ann Schmitz

Beverly “Bev” Schmitz, age 90, long-time Hastings resident passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021. Her favorite things were her grandkids, her life-long friends, her Card Club of 70 years, sewing, knitting, crocheting and shopping at Dayton’s in St. Paul. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and generosity. And, also for her beautiful smile and joyful laughter.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Mych; grandson, Baby Will Kaiser; parents, Bill and Rose Weber; siblings, Wally Weber, Peggy Ludwig, Jackie Allgor and Dick Weber.

Bev will be missed by her children, Kris, Kerry Thomas and Jaci (Fuchs), Mark, Tim and Toots (Hankes) and Amie and Tony Kaiser; grandchildren, Amber, Dana (Dustin Schluessler), Jill Schmitz (Joe Petschauer), Timmy (Jazzy Smythurst), Andy (Natalie Schorn), Casey, Ben and Evan; great-grandchildren, Maddyn, Archer, Miller, Henry, Lincoln, Colton, Gracie, Lucy, Beckham and Scarlett.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 11AM at Our Savior’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 W. 9th St., Hastings. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Interment at 1:15PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hastings Family Service.
