Obituary of Lorraine Gail Yagoda

Lorraine G. Yagoda, 90, of Duluth, MN passed away on August 11, 2021 at Essentia Health Center after a brief illness.

Lorraine was born November 28, 1930 in Duluth & graduated from Denfeld High School where she met and later married her husband, Richard. They were married on June 21, 1952.

If you knew Lorraine, she was a compassionate, caring, loving lady. She always greeted you with a hug even if it was the first time she met you. She taught her children to think of others before themselves and to always try to be kind. Lorraine was a ‘mom’ and ‘grandma’ to many.

She cherished the the nights out with “The Gang”, Bocce Ball, Bowling, Secretary of her Denfeld Class Reunion committee, and volunteering at Viewcrest.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard. She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Craig) Smith, son Michael (Ginny) Yagoda; grandchildren Matthew, Brittany, Shane (Amanda Kasie), and Rachel; great grandchildren, Easton, Isla, Olivia, Sophia and Ella-the joys of her life.

A private family service with be held.
