Obituary of Mary Ann Meinke
Mary Ann Meinke, 81, of Somerset, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on August 11th, 2021, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, after a long and courageous battle with amyloidosis.
Mary Ann was born on July 5th, 1940, in St. Paul, MN, to Elmer and Mary Ann (Lincowski) Ludolph. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husbands Norman “Butch” Meinke and Ronald Caroon, as well as one great-grandson: Kellan C. Meinke, Sun Prairie.
She is survived by her four children: Kevin (Louise) Meinke (Necedah, WI), Theresa (Mike) Pietenpol (St. Paul, MN), Dennis (Kathy Vitalis) Meinke (Osceola, WI), and Emily Meinke (Stillwater, MN), brother Lewis “Butch” (Elaine) Ludolph (Forest Lake, MN) ,17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mary Ann also had a large extended family and many close friends.
Although Mary Ann was not born in Somerset, she spent the last 50-plus years of her life there raising her children, working, and eventually retiring. She was an excellent baker and seamstress, as well as an avid gardener, “canner,” and even deer hunter!
In her later years, she enjoyed painting ceramics, traveling with friends and researching family history and genealogy.

Services will be held 11:00 am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Somerset, WI on September 24, 2021.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at the Cottage Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove, MN.
