Obituary of Jacob Norman

Jacob Michael Norman, Age 35, of Maplewood, Minnesota, died on July 9, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota after a long struggle with the disease of addiction.

Jacob was born on December 29, 1985 to Nathan and Susan (Truscott) Norman in Duluth. He graduated from East High School in 2004. He had one son, Christian, whom he adored. Jacob had one of the greatest hearts we have ever known and we will remember him for his energy, sense of humor, and deeply caring nature.

He is survived by his son, Christian Harlow Norman; his parents, Nathan and Susan Norman; his sister, Jessica Norman, and her daughter Lucy; his grandparents, William and Alice Truscott, and Ruth Norman; his great uncle, Rollin Norman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Harlow Norman.

Visitation will be held at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel at 4100 Grand Avenue in Duluth, Minnesota, Friday evening, July 16, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 17 at The Vineyard Church at 1533 West Arrowhead Road in Duluth, Minnesota at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. and reception to follow.
