Obituary of Delores Marlene Riffel

Delores Marlene Riffel "Dee", 76, was born in Wadena, MN to Eino and Mayme (Makinen) Tanney on July 5, 1944 and gained her wings one day before her 77th birthday. Dee fought a 16 ½ year battle with renal cell carcinoma. She is preceded in death by parents and sister Mildred. She is survived by children; Donald (Kerry), Michelle, Abraham, and Marcy along with grandchildren; Derek (Shiloh), Jessica (Kevin), Mandy, Jared, Laura, and Matthew and great grandchildren; Aurora, Tristan and baby girl Hagen due in November. She is also survived by three sisters; Shirley, Kathi and Sharon as well as many nieces and nephews. Dee had a passion for sewing and was frequently making things for her family. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in their sporting events. She bragged to everyone who would listen. She was a lifelong Minnesota Twins fan going to as many games as she could. Dee had chosen to be cremated and her ashes will be spread in a private family celebration of life.
