Obituary of Parker Grant Nelson

Nelson, Parker Grant January 9, 2001- June 22, 2021 Parker Grant Nelson, age 20 of Minnetonka, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2021, doing some-thing he loved - riding his motor-cycle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Zephie, father Chris (Jenny), brother Kaizer, grandparents Linda, Jerry and Nancy, Sheila, Steve and Anna, uncles Max and Jeremy, aunt Jessica, cousins Sedona, Sophia, Kyla, and Kaden. Parker grew up and attended public schools in Minnetonka. His class was the first in the Chinese immersion program, and he was very proud of this. One of his fondest memories was his eighth-grade class trip to China. He enjoyed playing soccer, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, and his time on the lake fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. He was an intelligent, innovative and entrepreneurial person, using fun and creative ways to make extra spending money - he once loaded up his backpack to sell $1 cans of pop in middle school. He enjoyed working with his father and was becoming a very skilled carpenter. He loved to build things and got great satisfaction when the job was complete. His bright smile was contagious and would make anyone smile. He was kind, loyal, polite, respectful, hard-working and so much more! Parker was preceded in death by his grandfather Jerry Timmons - over the past year, Parker spent many hours lovingly repairing grandpa's old three-wheeler so he and his brother could ride it again. A celebration of life in his memory will be held at Gale Wood Farms at 7210 County Rd 110 W, Minnetrista, on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 5 to 9 pm, with a commemoration at 6pm which will give people a chance to speak and share a memory if they wish. Donations in Parker's honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
