Obituary of Reginald Alvin Anderson

Reginald Alvin Anderson, 89, of Duluth, MN passed away June 17, 2021. He was born February 27, 1932 to Alvin and Clarice Anderson in Duluth.

He attended Irving Elementary and West Junior. He graduated Denfeld High School, class of 1950. He married Annette Mattson of Duluth on May 25, 1957. He served in the US Navy. He worked at SuperWood and later retired from Georgia Pacific in 1995.

Reginald was a member of West Duluth Moose Lodge. He also was a member of the Denfeld State Baseball champions in 1950. He loved spending time with his family and sharing his life journeys.

Reginald is survived by his wife Annette; children James (Mary Kay) Anderson, Debra (Gary) Anderson, and Ron (Reggie) Anderson (Kim Granley); grandchildren Lindsey Anderson and Derek Anderson; sister Sharon (Wally) Ruce; brother-in-law Robert Chase; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father Alvin Anderson, mother Clarice Anderson, and sister June Chase.

Reginald’s memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on June 26, 2021 with a visitation at 9:00 am at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Duluth Chapel.
